Hey Nate,
I have been meaning to drop you a line for awhile now, but with another child whom I affectionately call "Hurricane Riley" time has been hard to come by. I am enjoying the heck out of your entries and look forward to more. Do you read any female authors? Flannery O'Connor would be a good one to start with and then I'd check out some Eudora Welty too. For some mind bending male authors have you read any Pynchon? It sounds as if you are experiencing some of the same dissatisfaction that Mary Collins had during her peace corp time in Mauritania. Keep your head up and keep on keeping on. There is a reason you are there and even if you don't always feel it you are touching so many lives in so many infinitesimal ways especially your own. I am thinking about you here in an abnormally warm Evanston and always send my good vibes your way when I pass your mom's house down the block. I will drink a starbucks coffee in your honor tomorrow.
